Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)

This important tax credit program has been around for decades and is one of the most significant opportunities for low to moderate income earners to get a break on taxes by cutting the amount owed. The credit equals a fixed percentage of earnings from your first dollar to a maximum of $6,728.


What’s new?

Are you single with no children? Get 3x more, as much as $1,502 additional

Minimum age: 19
(not applicable to full time students)

Maximum age: None

PLUS! Use last year’s earnings to calculate this year’s credit.

Also eligible 18 leaving foster care and transient youth

Child Tax Credit (CTC)

Parenting is hard, so you deserve a break. CTC is simply that . . . a credit for any children 16 and under. 


What’s new?

6 & under $3,600
6 to 16 $3,000

Children who are 17 years old, and are typically ineligible for the credit, will be able to benefit for 2021

Minimum earnings: None

Individuals making up to $75,000 and couples making up to $150,000 will receive the full amount.

Child & Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC)

If you pay out-of-pocket expenses for childcare, this credit should provide some relief by making up some of those expenses.


What’s new?

1 child up to $4,000 back
2+ children up to $8,000 back

Making less than $125,000 per year? You may eligible for a full 50% credit! 

This plan also includes making the credit fully refundable to ensure the lowest income households can benefit.
